We are a family of 4 that includes our two beautiful daughters, Mindy and Bill. We are based out of Denver, CO. We love spending time together as a family, enjoying the outdoors and traveling.

Bill's real estate journey started many years ago when he started reading books, listening to podcasts, joining on-line forums and digesting anything relating to real estate. He spent a lot of time looking at long-term rental properties that were not in the best areas. No slums or anything of the sort, but not places that you would want to visit. Due to the nature of these properties, Mindy was quite uninterested in the endeavor. He also grew frustrated with the returns that he was seeing.

That is when everything changed.

Why not get a beach house? He was always somewhat dismissive of the short-term rental market due to the perceived insecurity of the asset class. He thought of it as a fad that would come and pass just as the Macarena had. One night, he asked Mindy if she would be intrigued in getting a beach house or a mountain cabin. She was elated, energized and sold. Bill & Mindy started researching all things short-term. At first, this was to alleviate any fears of getting into this "new" market space, soon they were not only sold, but learning the space and all that comes with it.

After all of the subject matter had sunk in, they pulled the trigger. They were the new owners of a great little beach property in a rural part of Gulf Shores, Fort Morgan, AL. Mindy had always been a great designer/decorator, and boy did she come through. She tried to salvage what she could to stay within our budget, while giving it a completely new feel. Bill had always been pretty techy, so he setup multiple safeguards to monitor their place from afar. They did a complete refresh on that cottage and got it rent ready within 10 days. It wasn't an easy 10 days, but it was well worth it to see the end product. Their place is performing extremely well. They beat the property management companies projections, practically all of their neighbors' numbers and met their very own goals, which were previously thought of as unachievable. They haven't looked back since!

Mindy is thriving. Being from Mississippi, she is a natural born hostess. Her caring and accommodating touch goes extremely far with our guests which got them to Superhost status by the next eligibility date. Not to mention all of the compliments on the design/decorations. She knows how to promote Airbnb listings to optimize them within the search results. Not to mention the countless other tricks she has in her pocket to return high revenue and guest satisfaction. Mindy had found her niche and more importantly, her passion.

Bill is an electrician by trade. He moved up the ranks quite quickly moving into the estimating / management area of the industry. His job was to look at millions of numbers, put them together and see how much something is going to cost and how much profit a project could make. This skillset was immediately useful in real estate investment. He not only performs all of the projections, but handles the technology side of the business. This matched with the numerous process systemizations he has implemented, makes staying at a Wells Property Group downright delightful and streamlined.
